Bearing His Fruit
” But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the spirit, let us follow the spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.”

I am here to bear His fruit.
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.
Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. What stands out to you the most while reading this scripture? For me, it is that there is no law against these things.
If you have the Holy Spirit in you, you will be able to exhibit his fruits. These fruits are useful in every area and season of life.
These fruits of the Holy Spirit at work in you will help build positive behavior or break negative ones.
All through the day, we crave different things to fill gaps. Whether we are eaters, coffee drinkers, sugar cravers, attention seekers, all of us have this reflex. While there is an instantaneous satisfaction to our cravings, they never truly meet the need. However, with the Holy Spirit at work in us bearing His fruit, it is easier to nail negative behavior, cravings, passions, and sinful desires to the cross.
What are you using to fill the gaps in your own life? Choose to trade your weaknesses for the strength the Holy Spirit gives and rely solely on Him. He is the one working in you to produce the fruits; stay connected to His.
Father, please help me to always turn to you through every circumstance. Help me Lord, to be fully reliant on you. Holy Spirit, please help me to be wholly influenced by you.
Prayer Moment
Lord, I acknowledge that in the past, I have given in to my carvings and filled the gaps with things that could never satisfy me. And so, Lord, I pray that You would help me, as I rely on You fully. I will no longer live according to the leading of my flesh, but I choose to be led always by the Holy Spirit. Thank You Lord for the work You have started in me.
