Decency & Order

“Let things be done decently and in order” – 1 Corinthians 14:40c

Let go of things that no longer serve you.

Have you ever walked into a disorganized space and immediately you start to feel tense? Research has shown that a cluttered environment raises stress levels. If your home is always disorganized, this leads to chronically elevated stress levels.

Decide today that you will Pick one small space to declutter. Whether it’s old makeup and hair products, or a kitchen drawer full of utensils you never use. Throw them out or donate them. It is not easy, but it is necessary. Whatever you do, tackle your home bit by bit to avoid feeling overwhelmed. And give yourself a lot of grace as you make progress.

So today, choose to get your space in order and pick one small space to declutter, and set an alarm on your phone to do so. Say to yourself today, “I freely let go of things that bring disorder to my home and weigh my spirit down.”

Prayer Moment

Lord, I thank You for the beautiful things that You have given to me freely. I am thankful that I have all I need from You. Today, I pray that the gifts I have been given will not become a clog in the wheels of the prosperity of my soul. I will not hold on to things I should let go of.
From today, I declare that I freely release and let go of anything that no longer serves me, as I embrace freedom and a newness in You. Amen.

Love,
