Mighty God
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.”
– Proverbs 22:6
We have a mighty God.
As a mom, you know how much your children rely on you in every aspect of your family’s life. That knowledge can sometimes feel overwhelming since there’s only so much you can do even when you’re giving your best effort to motherhood.
This world has a way of stacking the hard times against you. There are moments when you might wonder if anything good could ever happen in your life. You might feel as if you will never reach your financial goals in the middle of an unstable economy. When you have tried your hardest and it doesn’t seem like it’s nearly enough when you’ve taken a stand and it seems as though no one cares.
Remember this, all things are possible through Christ Jesus.
It is in these deep, dark moments, often with heartache and tragedy, that we must remember what a mighty God we serve.
God has promised to take care of you, He will make a way where there seems to be no way. He’ll open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that you cannot contain. The world may be in a state of chaos, but God is still on his throne and everything is going to be alright. God is not at a loss, looking for answers. He is the way, the truth, and the life.
Are you sick in your body? He is the Great Physician. Do you need peace? He is the Prince of Peace.
Do you need joy? In His presence is the fullness of joy. Whatever you’re facing today, no matter what you’re going through, put your trust in the Creator of heaven and earth, and remember what a mighty God we serve!
Every time that life seems to be difficult, consider what a mighty God we serve! When you’re facing a mountain too big to move, remember that you serve a mountain-moving God.
Whatever you are facing today, whatever tragedy or triumph you are walking through, remember that He is the God of the mountain and the God of the valley. He wants to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that you cannot contain. What a mighty God we serve!
Prayer Moment
Lord, I thank You for the privilege You have given to me to be able to raise my children.
I confess that sometimes, I allow myself to get carried away by the demands of motherhood and everyday life, that I forget to be intentional about raising my children the right way. Lord, I pray that I receive an extra dose of strength to keep me going, the wisdom to make the right choices as I raise my children.
Let me not be distracted by the things around me that my children are left to their own devices in Jesus’ name. Amen!
