How To Keep Your Eyes on Jesus When You Grow Weary
“If you grow weary when times are troubled, your strength is limited” – Proverbs 24: 10
No one is to blame.
Your ability to stand in times of trouble is a function of how much stamina you have built over time.
If you’re going to stand in the day of trouble, you would have built capacity before that time.
If you’re not yet in trouble, count yourself fortunate, you have the time to build stamina.
If you’re already in trouble, then there’s only one thing to do – get strength from His Presence.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.” (Psalm 28:7)
How Then Do You ensure that you do not fail in times of adversity?
- Realize that stamina connotes endurance and requires discipline. Our Christian journey is not a sprint, but a marathon.
- Understand that you cannot draw strength from any other except Jesus. He is the real answer to dealing with your weariness.
- Talk to God in your time of weariness. Even Jesus got weary during His ministry, He understands how you feel.
- Keep your eyes on the goal – don’t give up!
“looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
Don’t Give Up! Keep Running The Race. There is a Reward.
