Prayer for Your Child – God Encounters

As parents, we stand in a place of authority to pray over our children.

This prayer series will help you to pray over different areas of your child’s life.

In this post, I share with you some prayer confessions you can make over your child as you pray that they have God-encounters and experiences that will help them to know God more.

Your Declarations - Prayer for God Encounters

“It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone… I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!”– Ephesians 1: 17-19 MSG

Lord, I thank You for the purpose You have created my child for.

Thank You because You had Your designs on my child even before conception and Your eyes are upon him/her.

Today, I declare about you … (mention child’s name), that your life’s journey will be filled with God-encounters. You will experience God in tangible, memorable ways that will leave long-lasting imprints on your heart.

I place you in places and situations where you will experience God speaking to you and connecting with your heart.

As you bask in and dwell in these God-moments, they will produce a rich harvest in your life that will be evident to everyone around you. Your life is no longer the same because of these God moments that you will experience in Jesus’ name. – AMEN
