Tips Tuesday – It’s Okay To Ask For Help

I know, it’s the Super Mom Syndrome!

“I don’t need help.”

“I don’t want anyone to see my shortcomings.”

“I don’t want anyone to think I’m not a ‘good enough’ mom.”

Those are the excuses you give yourself anytime you even so much as consider the thought of asking for help.

Meanwhile, you are collapsing under the weight of it all. The pressure is killing you!

Dear Fellow Mom, on Today’s Tip Tuesday, please remember:

It’s Okay to Ask For Help.

Yes, it is! Repeat that to yourself until it sinks in.

You don’t have to carry all that weight. Shed some of them. You’ll be amazed at so many people who are so willing to help you.

You can decide to Car Pool with another trusted parent [or even more than one] to ease the burden of school runs. That way you may end up doing the runs only once in 2, 3, 4… weeks depending on how many parents you’re able to find to get this done.

You can take turns with other parents to baby sit each others kids. You can outsource some of the tasks that do not really require your presence. Believe me, no one will die if someone else folds the laundry!

That way you can have some time for yourself and for more important tasks.

These are just a few examples of areas where you may need help. There are so many ways you can ask for help. You know the area you require it the most.

Don’t forget, Help is always available and it’s okay to Ask For It!

All the best Mom

“Glow, please don’t say that. I really am very sorry for all the pain I caused you. I really tried to get in touch with you after my Masters program, but by the time I could get in touch, I was told you were already planning your wedding. I did not want to be an intruder, so I just let you be.”
“I still love you Glow.”
“You can’t love me. What about your wife?”
“I just got married to her because you were already married. It’s you I love and not her”.
“Please take me back to my office. I can’t do this”
