Embrace A New Beginning

“Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.”– Isaiah 43:18-19

I am so excited to welcome you to a fresh and new beginning as we get started with our ROOTED Mom Study Series.

The start of a new year opens my heart to the ideas of a new start and fresh possibilities, no matter how the past year has been for me.

Each new year, I look forward to the beautiful promises of God for me and for you as part of our beautiful mom community, and of course this year is no exception.

As I pondered on the word of God in the book of Isaiah 43, we see that God’s word encourages us to not call to mind the former things – past failures, successes, disappointments, achievements; no matter what it is.

Whatever the past led us to, we are encouraged to let go and look forward to the beautiful things God has for us in the future.

Notice the previous verses in this scripture,

Now this is what the LORD says—He who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.” – Isaiah 43:1-2

What a beautiful promise from God Himself!

I want to encourage your heart today and this week, to hold on to this fresh and new beginning that God has for you, no matter how the past has been for you. It is time to look ahead and remember, God is with you and for you!

Love,

Oluseye Ashiru
