Still on Track?

It’s a new  month  already!  And in fact this new month is already rolling by.

If the fact that we’re in another month doesn’t wake you up, what will?

I set some goals for my self and my family this year, and it’s  time to review how we’re doing on those goals. If you also started the year with a list of what you wanted to achieve this year,  now is the time to review.

Review Your Goals Twice everyday, in order to be focused on achieving them” – Les Brown

How are you doing with these goals? Have you already started to do the things that will help you to accomplish your goals? If not, what are you waiting for?  Remember,  there will never be a good time to start.  The time to start is now.

Someday is not a Day of the Week” – Janet Dailey

So, you haven’t  even set your goals, remember if you aim at nothing, you will surely hit nothing. Set yourself some goals. Not sure how, you can check here or if it’s for your kids you can also find out how.

Often, we start the year full of zeal, and then sometime down the line, we are far from what we set out to achieve. If you seem to have gone off a bit, don’t be discouraged. Just continue from where you stopped. that sure beats not making any form of progress at all. Just keep moving.

consistency

A study showed that only 71% of those who set goals at the beginning of the year actually keep at that goal past the first two weeks of the year, and of course, as the year moves on, that figure drops even further. That is why it is very important to review our goals. How does it help?

  • Reviewing your goals helps you to further reinforce those goals in your subconscious.
  • Reviewing your goals will help you to monitor your progress. How will you know if you’re doing what you set out to do? We need to keep a tab on how we are coming along with our goals.

After you have reviewed your goals, and you find that you’re not quite where you want to be, what should you do? Throw in the towel, get discouraged, lament your failure? No! You need to find out why you were not able to hit your target. Are there any habits preventing you from following through with your plan? Do you need to make some drastic changes to your regular schedule? Whatever you find out needs to be adjusted.
