Lessons From Easter Part 1: The Presence of Pain Does Not Equate The Absence of God

This week in Christianity, usually referred to as the ‘Holy Week’, is such an important and fundamental part of the basis of our faith as Christians.⠀

And in spite of what may be happening around us, we should never lose sight of the importance of the events leading up to and the happenings around the death and the resurrection of Jesus.⠀

This week, as we remember, join me as I share some of my Easter lessons with you.⠀

My first lesson for today is to remind you that “The presence of pain does not equate the absence of God”.⠀

My first lesson for today is to remind you that “The presence of pain does not equate the absence of God”.⠀

Oh, so much pain in the entire Easter story! Just so much pain. From the betrayal, the denials, the suffering, the bloodshed…all painful and heartbreaking.⠀

Just imagine the pain that Mary, the mother of Jesus felt as she saw her dear son fulfilling His purpose by going to the cross ??⠀

That she knew this would happen didn’t soften the blow, didn’t diminish the pain or the hurt she must have felt! ??⠀

With all the pain, was there ever a moment that God’s love was absent? ⠀

Lessons from Easter and Holy Week

Not for once was God unaware of the events surrounding this season. Not for once was God not involved. Not at any time was God’s purpose not being fulfilled.⠀

Just in case you’re in a situation of pain and chaos and you’re doubting that God is in there with you; He is.

He’s never caught unawares by the situations in our lives and let me tell you that He’s got you.⠀

Listen to today’s Podcast

Are you using pain as a yardstick for whether you should obey and follow God’s plan for your life? Are you saying, “If it’s tough or painful, then it can’t be God”?⠀

Remember, that pain is present does not mean God is absent. Seek His face and don’t forget that His strength is available for you at this time. ⠀

“But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance.”⠀
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭TPT‬‬ ⠀

What lesson is God teaching you in this season of your life? ⠀

I’d love to learn from you too.

Please share with me in the comments.
